Thanks for the tips to encourage faith-based programs to be advocates for adult literacy. As a minister, inspirational radio and tv host, and community volunteer (as well as being a recruiter, GED examiner, and motivational speaker for a community college), I think this is GREAT NEWS! I have another wonderful resource to help with adult literacy promotions.

Literacy is an essential component to economic recovery. One of our handout today pointed out for every $1 spent on Adult Literacy there is an $11 return to the community. And, in my community and in my job, as I watch more and mroe adults lose their jobs and their livlihood, literacy in the form of technology, as one group pointed out, is essential if that individual is ever to reclaim a healthy, productive life in the workforce. Finally, the DYK video points out how important information is because as we become more social but less social outwardly (i.e. texting, emailing, even blogging) we teach adults how to access information and how to use the information that access as a tool in developing their long-term and short-term goals!
