NCL Seeks Nominations for the Annual Literacy Leadership Awards

Dear Colleagues:
The National Coalition for Literacy is seeking award nominations for its annual Literacy Leadership Award Celebration. The event will be held at Capitol Hill in Washington DC on Wednesday, September 14 at 5:30 PM.
Award winners are required to be present. To be accepted, a nominee must have made a significant contribution to the field of adult education and literacy that is national in scope or has national significance. President’s Update, July 2010

During the last several months we have had significant activity for the Coalition.
Internally, we have finalized our new structure and Barb Van Horn and Heidi Silver-Pacuilla have agreed to chair the Internal and External Committees respectively. They will be developing the new operating rules for the committees. We will also be restructuring the Public Policy Committee and developing new protocols for that committee as well. We hope to complete all of these activities by Sept. 15th.
