Guest Biography
John has been with TESOL since 1996. John’s responsibilities at TESOL include government relations, policy analysis, media communications, and management of TESOL’s advocacy activities. John works closely with TESOL’s executive director and Board of Directors on issues management and elements of strategic planning, and has also assisted with the development of several standards projects. Part of John’s ongoing duties also include serving as TESOL’s liaison to groups such as the National Coalition for Literacy, Hispanic Education Coalition, and the Joint National Committee for Languages, as well as serving as a staff liaison to the TESOL Standards Committee, Global Professional Issues Committee, and Employment Issues Committee. John serves on the Board of Directors for the National Coalition for Literacy, and is on the Advisory Board for USA Learns. John has a BA in Political Science with a concentration in International Studies from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and a graduate certificate in Project Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
John is a guest blogger in the National Coalition for Literacy online discussion on Cultivating Media Relations for Adult Education and Family Literacy.
